Top 10 Most Bizarre Buildings
7. Gangster House
The Gangster House was designed by the Russian millionaire, Nikolai Sutiagin in 1995. The 38 meters building had 12 floors and a separate 3-floor bathhouse. It also had a number of lounges, a dance room and a billiard room. When asked why he built the wooden house, Nikolai said that he simply wanted to see the sea, although no one could really see the shore of the White Sea, which was 40km away. The building was considered unsafe, because it was constructed without proper engineering calculations. By the decision of the local court, the Gangster House was demolished in 2008.
