5. Lee Harvey Oswald
Lee Harvey Oswald was the suspected murderer of John F. Kennedy and arrested within hours of the shooting. On November 24 1963, the Dallas police decided to transfer Oswald to a county jail. In the underground parking of the police headquarters, an individual known as Jack Ruby violently broke through a crowd of cameramen, photographers and journalists, fired on Oswald and mortally wounding him. The US Government released a statement in 1979 that concluded officially that Oswald was the shooter. Years later, James Files confessed to being the real shooter.
